Linda’s Dump Cake
1 can (16 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 package yellow cake mix
1 can (21 ounces) prepared pie filling (your choice of flavor)
1 ½ sticks butter, sliced thin
Preheat oven to 350°
Dump pineapple, including its juice, cake mix and pie filling into 13ʺ x 9ʺ x 2ʺ pan and stir until just mixed. Top with slices of butter.
Bake 1 hour.
If desired, spread ¼ cup of chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, cashews or pistachios) over top of cake after baking.
Serve warm, with ice cream, for a luscious dessert.
