Serves: 4

Ingredients:
1 can (15 ounces) sliced peaches in syrup
1 can (8 ounces) crescent rolls
1 stick butter
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon cinnamon – or less – just enough to sprinkle lightly
½ cup Mountain Dew soda

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°

Put the sugar in a small bowl and set aside.

Put the butter in a 9 x 7 oven proof pan. Microwave in increments of 20 seconds at 50% power until the butter is just melted but not bubbling hot. Pour the melted butter into the bowl of sugar, leaving a small amount of butter in the bottom of the pan.

Gently stir the butter into the sugar. Add the vanilla. Set aside.

Roll up 1 or 2 peach slices in each crescent roll triangle, tuck the ends under and place in the buttered pan to make 2 rows, sides barely touching. Lay any remaining peach slices along the center of the rows.

Pour entire sugar mixture over peaches.

Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.

Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
