Recipe Category: Main Dish / Ground Beef
Yield: 2 Dozen
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
¼ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
3 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375°
Cook the ground beef and chilies in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; remove from heat and drain.
Add the chili powder, cumin and cream cheese. Stir until mixed well.
Allow to cool slightly while separating the crescent dough into 24 triangles.
Place 1 tablespoon of beef mixture along the short end of each triangle; carefully roll up.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets, point side down.
Bake at 375° for 11-14 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
Notes:
A nice variation is to replace the can of green chilies with ½ cup fresh salsa.
